Anything less than 3-0 will be disappointing....

India start the series as overwhelming favourites and to be honest, Sri Lanka don't stand a chance to win a test match, let go the series. This Indian side is may be the most settled side in the World right now and certainly the toughest in home conditions. India have left out Hardik Pandya, a decision which I completely agree with for a couple of reasons. First of all, he needs some rest as he has played every match since Champions Trophy. The second reason though is more realistic and relevant to the situation. India doesn't need a seam bowling all rounder in these conditions as his bowling skills won't be needed because of a more than capable bowling attack including Ashwin-Jadeja. His batting lower down the order also won't be required because Sri Lanka don't have the bowling attack to go through the Indian top order as quickly.
The only care that needs to be taken is the nature of the pitches. If India produces a square turner at any time in the series, it will bring Sri Lanka's only genuine match winner Rangana Herath into play. I don't think Virat Kohli will experiment too much in this series as he will be looking for the best XI to play in that first test in South Africa. But with all due respect, India will be disappointed if they don't win 3-0.
