DON'T BE SURPRISED IF IT IS NOT 3-0....

After an interesting test series, teams make their way north of India to one of the most beautiful grounds around the world. Dharamsala plays host to the 1st ODI between India and Sri Lanka in what could be a very interesting ODI series as well. India start as favourites without a shadow of a doubt but Sri Lanka posses much greater threat than they did in the longer format. Weaker teams start becoming dangerous as length of the game starts to shorten because you just have to play good cricket for 100 overs and not over the period of five days. Virat less India will be banking on Rohit Sharma to score heavily in the absence of the number 1 batsman in the world. Bowling line up looks quite in good nick with the likes of Chahal, Kuldeep and Bumrah all in good form. While it will be a great opportunity for India to search a perfect no. 4, they can not take Sri Lanka for granted. Sri Lanka are coming in this series on the back of a 12 match losing streak with as many as three whitewashes in this calendar year. Players like Niroshan Dickwella, Upul Tharanga, Asela Gunaratne will be expected to stand up and put on big performances. But Sri Lanka's bowling doesn't look as promising as their batting and to not let India score 300-325+ will be the first challenge for them. Though India start as favourites and will be expected to win 3-0, don't be surprised if Sri Lanka come up with a surprise or two.
